The first 2m SSB E-Skip opening in the midwest to Florida occurred on 22 June 2009. Several stations had to work each other at over 1000 miles during the brief opening.

This is a short video of Phil/N0KE in DM69 working me in the rover in EN32 during the June ARRL VHF QSO Part on 14 June 2009. It was quite a surprise for me at 862 miles.
