The antenna is a short whip tunned trough a little auto-transformer. The rig is a MFJ 9420 adjusted at 5 watts.

Working N9CIQ on March 15 during the Wisconsin QSO party. I used my trusty MFJ 9020 with 4 watts to a G5RV dipole at 45 ft.

While hiking with Rooster and Peanut on Memorial Day we encounter thunder and lightning. Once the storm passes we safely make it onto the ridge and to make some fun contacts with my IC703 and Buddipole vertical antenna. A123 batteries were used to power the radio
